How to Join

To join the Chicago-Kent Journal of Intellectual Property as an Associate Editor, you must complete the following:
  • Attend a Journal editing training session
  • Successfully complete an editing test following the session

Training sessions are held at least once per semester and will be announced via The Record and on the Chicago-Kent Calendar of Events. Editing tests are typically due two weeks following the date of the training session - deadlines will be announced at the training sessions.

To maintain Associate Editor status, associate editors must complete at least one editing assignment (grammar, comprehension, citations) or equivalent as determined by the Editor-in-Chief per semester.

To become a Contributing Editor, in addition to the Associate Editor requirements, you must submit an article, note, or comment relevant to intellectual property law of publishable quality for which the Journal has right of first refusal.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact the Journal at journal@kentlaw.edu.
